HHPs customary wife Lerato Sengadi shocks everybody by filing court papers against her in-laws. Jabulani Tsambo known as Jabba HHP , died on Wednesday, 24 October after allegedly committing suicide following a battle with depression. Lerato plans to take her father in law Robert Tsambo to court so that the coirts can stop him from proceeding with funeral arrangements scheduled for this weekend in Mahikeng. Earlier during the week Jabba’s family went on record to deny Lerato Sengadi as their Makoti and Tsambo made a public statement saying they were seperated at the time of his death. He said
I would like to put this matter to rest and categorically state on record that Ms Sengadi is not, and was never married to Jabulani. She is not his wife!”Reports point to the fact that they where not even married however, Sengadi was declared HHPs customary wife in February 2016. I would like to put this matter to rest and categorically state on record that Ms Sengadi is not, and was never married to Jabulani. She is not his wife, Ms Sengadi is Jabu’s ex-fiancée and moved out of his home and his life on her own accord last year. She and her mother were requested to desist from spreading this falsehood. As things stand, the Tsambo family reserves its rights should Ms Sengadi continue to peddle these falsehoods. There was no bad blood between them. Their separation was amicable,
The court interdict indicates that HHP’s father must provide Lerato with full details of the deceased, as well as the remains of the deceased. The interdict further indicates that the Tsambo family may not continue with any further funeral proceedings and restrains them from returning the remains of the deceased to any person other than Lerato.
She also wants the family to hand over HHPs belongings, recordings he left from his studio and apartment.
The rapper’s memorial service will take place on Tuesday, 30 October at the Newtown Music Factory (Former Bassline) in Johannesburg from 12h00 – 17h00. Another one will be held at the Mmabatho Convention Centre in his home town of Mafikeng on Thurday 1 November also from 12h00 – 17h00. HHP will be laid to rest on Saturday 3rd November 2018 in Mahikeng
